Notice of CC&R Amendment Vote Adjournment & 28-Day Comment Period for Revised Election Rules

Dear Oak Valley II Residents,

The recent vote to amend the community’s CC&Rs regarding RV and commercial vehicle parking has been adjourned, as only 121 ballots were received—falling short of the required quorum. To help increase homeowner participation in future votes, the Board approved a revision to the community’s Election Rules that would allow for electronic voting. This will make it easier for members to vote on important issues like CC&R amendments and board elections.

At the Board Meeting held on June 18, 2025, the revised Election Rules were approved for a 28-day member comment period. The proposed rules define an “Electronic Ballot” as one conducted through a secure electronic voting system, and allow for electronic delivery of election materials, including governing document amendments. As stated in Section 8.6, “The Association may also conduct an election by Electronic Ballot.” Once these rules are officially adopted at the August 20, 2025 Board Meeting, the CC&R amendment vote will be resent after the annual election on September 17, 2025. Please note that due to timing, electronic voting will not apply to the upcoming annual election, but it will apply to the CC&R amendment re-vote and all future elections.
