As a reminder, the playgrounds, basketball court and swings are to remain closed. These have not reopened. There have been multiple people removing the caution tape from these areas. This is not allowed.
The lake is not for swimming. Anyone caught swimming in the lake is in direct violation of the Rules and Regulations. The lake is not maintained for swimming.
Do not feed the ducks. Feeding Waterfowl is a misdemeanor in California.
Management is aware of the Linksman gate being stuck open. Please note that this is open due to a person who does not reside in the community but uses the lower park to practice sports. They manually unlock the gate to get it stuck open. This is not allowed. Management is encouraging any resident who sees them come in and is in the lower park to contact the PD to have them escorted out. The local law enforcement will get there quicker than patrol. You can also contact patrol at 714-801-4385 to see if they are on-site to address the issue as well.
Management has been made of aware of many people coming in using the lake that do not belong to Oak Valley II.
Please note that patrol has been coming out and asking for resident badges to show proof that they belong in the community. If you do not have a resident badge, please contact management to obtain information on how to receive one. If you do not have this badge but inform patrol you live in the community they will ask for ID showing that you reside there.
If you notice someone is fishing at the lake area who does not belong there you can contact Elite Enforcement at 714-801-4385 to see if they are in the area to come and address the issue. If they are not in the area, it is strongly recommended that you contact Beaumont Police Department to have them removed. The community is a private community and anyone not belonging in the community is trespassing.
There have also been residents who have seen kids swimming in the lake while parents watch. Per the CC&R’s and Rules and Regulations there is no swimming anytime in the lake at all. The lake is for fishing only and is Catch and Release only.
The health and safety of the community remains top priority. Due to COVID-19, all playgrounds, swing sets and the basketbal court will be closed down until further notice. The pathways throughout the park and lake area will remain open for owners to walk their pets, get some fresh air, or take a jog. Remember that just because those areas will be open that it is not time for a social gathering. All residents need to practice what is being told to everyone by the CDC and Governor by practicing social distancing and staying home except for essentials.
The Linksman entry gate will remain open until April 6, 2020. The new gate operators will be installed on this date. We thank you for your patience during this time.
The Community wide garage sale that is held the first weekend of April has been canceled until further notice due to the COVID-19 issue we are experiencing. Management will issue an update on the new date once that is determined.
Management has received requests regarding homeowners displaying Christmas lights around their own home to bring cheer into the community for the children during this time. The Board of Directors have approved for the residents to display Christmas lights around their property until further notice. Please note that the approval is only for the hanging of Christmas Lights and NO other Christmas decorations. When it is time to remove the Christmas lights, management will send an email and a courtesy letter advising that the time has come to take down the lights. If the lights are not removed when asked, the violation process will begin.
The Linksman entry gate is currently open. The gate will remain open through the end of next week. The openers need to be replaced. To save on cost, it has been decided to leave them open at this time. Once the new openers are installed, the gates should begin to work properly and stay closed.
It has been reported to management that there is evidence of someone feeding the ducks. Please be reminded that feeding waterfowl is a misdemeanor in California.
