Reminder on Home Exterior Improvements

Hello Oak Valley II Residents,

It has come to our attention that some owners have been sharing incorrect information on social media regarding exterior home improvements. We want to clarify that no exterior improvements may be installed on your home without first receiving prior architectural approval from the Association.

Regardless of what you may read online or hear from other owners, it is essential to follow the Association’s governing documents, which mandate this approval process. Any attempt to proceed with exterior improvements without the proper approval is a violation of these guidelines and will lead to potential fines and legal action.

Why is this important? Abiding by these governing documents is critical because it helps us maintain a consistent aesthetic standard across the community, which is vital to preserving and even enhancing property values. Architectural guidelines are in place to ensure that all improvements are harmonious with the community’s design, helping protect the overall appeal and value of our properties. By listening to false information, you are potentially contributing to lowering not only your property value, but that of your neighbors as well.

Please help us maintain the integrity of our community by adhering to these requirements. If you are considering any exterior changes, contact the Association for guidance on the approval process. Thank you for your cooperation in advance!

To help ensure the project runs smoothly, we ask for your cooperation with the following:

Vehicle Removal: All vehicles must be removed from the work areas by 7:00 AM on the scheduled days. Any vehicles left will be towed at the owner’s expense. Vehicles parked in driveways may get dusty, so please consider moving them as well.
Turn Off Irrigation: Please turn off your irrigation systems 24 hours before the seal coating begins and leave them off until 24 hours after the streets are reopened. Water can prevent the seal from properly adhering.
Cancel Deliveries and Services: Please reschedule any deliveries or home services during the work days.
Avoid Wet Materials: The sealant is wet and can stick to shoes,
